中國農(nóng)歷十二個月，每月對應一種時令花，古已有之。賞花，在于悅其韻色而知其神骨，如此可深得其中情趣。我國地域廣袤，氣候差異很大，各地所指的農(nóng)歷十二個月花卉有所不同。我們采用了比較普遍認可的說法，配以彩鉛繪圖和格律詩，并附英文翻譯。

正月山茶花

三月桃花

武陵源上覓桃花，

爛漫紅酣暈晚霞。

深粉淺紅渾不辨，

疑為杏子是一家。

Jasmine in July

Jasmine is flawless white and pretty.

Pure clean is her inherent quality.

Like white jade she has the best color,

The unparalleled fragrance belongs to her.

Osmanthus in August

With dew and breeze autumn comes,

Sweet-scented osmanthus everywhere blossoms.

Is there any golden millet in the world?

Maybe the goddess of the moon has sowed.

Chrysanthemum in September

In the courtyard Chrysanthemums grow in blooming,

They are so colorful under the sun setting.

Bright yellow is the most beautiful,

Chrysanthemums are the gorgeous in fall.

Hibiscus in October

Hibiscus is pure and charming each,

White petals can in a day turn peach.

Flowers in frost are still attractive,

They are blossoms in autumn active.

Narcissus in November

While other flowers fade you open six petals later,

You are like fairies standing in the water.

Smell is fragrant and makeup is lighter,

You are as natural as jasper.

十二月臘梅花

一封書簡自天臺，

馥郁相隨驛使來。

唯恐東君說要事，

瓊妃忙將蠟封拆。

Wintersweet in December

Wintersweet areflowers given by nature.

In cold weather they bring fragrance richer.

When snowflakes in the sky are dancing,

The wintersweet flowers bloom with smiling.
